One of the three surviving chicks left the nest today at 14:25:51, the other two still remain. The fledgling was fully capable of flight, as you can see in the picture, and better in the video at the end.
Tarkkasilmäinen katsoja huomasi jotain outoa eilen puolen yön molemmin puolin. Yksi poikasista näytti oksentavan. En ole nähnyt sellaista koskaan aiemmin, mutta eipä ole aiemmin ollut näin tarkkoja kameroitakaan.

Videon alussa vielä uusintana eilisiltainen emon hepulikohtaus ja poistuminen pöntöstä, nyt keskeytymättömällä kattokameran kuvalla. Näyttää siltä, että poikanen on huitassut emoa siivellä kahteen kertaan ja koska pöntössä on jo pimeää, emo ei ole nähnyt mitä tapahtuu vaan on säikähtänyt ja paennut. Kun joku välillä kysyy, näkeekö lintu pimeänäkökameran infrapunavalon. Vastaus on ilmeinen, ei näe. Jos näkisi, emo näkisi missä lentoaukko on eikä puokkoilisi päin seiniä yrittäessään ulos.
Kaksi poikasta jäivät siis vielä yöksi. Yleensä emot ruokkivat pesään jäänyttä poikasta vielä vuorokauden verran, jos muut ovat jo lähteneet. Nyt kun yksi lähti ja muut jäivät, en tiedä miten tilanne etenee. Luultavasti nämä kuitenkin lähtevät jo huomenna.

At the beginning of the video, a replay of last night's moms strange behavior and exit from the nest box, now with uninterrupted rooftop camera footage. It seems that the chick has flapped her with the wing twice and since it is already dark in the box, she has not seen what is happening and has got scared and fled. When someone occasionally asks if the bird can see the infrared light from the night wision camera, the answer is obvious: no. If it did, the bird would see where the hole was and not be flying at the walls trying to get out.
So the two chicks stayed for the night. Usually, the parents will feed the chick left in the nest for another day or so if the others have already left. Now that one left and the others stayed, I don't know how the situation will progress. However, those two will probably leave tomorrow.
